The short answer
Apex sells two Evaluation types, EOD and Intraday, in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K sizes (accounts purchased after March 1, 2026). By size, both share the same profit target, drawdown dollars and contract cap. EOD adds a Daily Loss Limit and sets its floor at market close; the Intraday Evaluation has no Daily Loss Limit (its PA does) and its floor follows your peak balance in real time. Size and type cannot be changed after purchase.
Key facts:
- 25K: $1,500 target, $1,000 drawdown, $500 EOD Daily Loss Limit, 4 contracts; the PA starts at 1 contract and every payout is capped at $1,000.
- 50K: $3,000 target, $2,000 drawdown, $1,000 EOD Daily Loss Limit, 6 contracts; the PA starts at 2 contracts, payout caps $1,500 to $3,000.
- 100K: $6,000 target, $3,000 drawdown, $1,500 EOD Daily Loss Limit, 8 contracts; the PA starts at 3 contracts, payout caps $2,000 to $4,000.
- 150K: $9,000 target, $4,000 drawdown, $2,000 EOD Daily Loss Limit, 12 contracts; the PA starts at 4 contracts, payout caps $2,500 to $5,000.
- Every size: 30 calendar days for a one-time fee, no resets, pass in one day; the PA pays a 100% split after 5 qualifying days, $500 minimum, up to 6 payouts.
Watch out:
- EOD vs Intraday: the EOD floor is calculated at market close and enforced in real time during the next session, so a touch still fails the Evaluation. The Intraday floor moves up the moment an open trade makes a new peak.
- Hitting the EOD Daily Loss Limit is not a failure: positions are liquidated and trading pauses for the rest of the session; the account remains active and the trading day resets at 6 PM ET.
- The Evaluation contract cap does not carry over: the PA starts at 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 contracts, and its top level (2 / 4 / 6 / 10) stays below the Evaluation cap on every size.
- Our arithmetic: six capped payouts mean one PA can pay out at most $6,000 / $13,000 / $18,000 / $20,500 on EOD and $6,000 / $14,500 / $18,500 / $21,500 on Intraday.
- The Evaluation expires at 6:00 PM ET on Day 30, and a PA closes after 30 days without 2 days of $50+ net profit.
Pick 25K if you want the smallest target ($1,500) with $1,000 of drawdown and up to 4 contracts in the Evaluation; the PA starts at 1 contract, qualifying days need $100 on either path, and every payout is capped at $1,000.
Pick 50K if you want up to 6 contracts in the Evaluation for a $3,000 target and $2,000 drawdown ($1,000 EOD Daily Loss Limit); the PA starts at 2 contracts, qualifying days need $250 on EOD or $200 on Intraday, and caps run $1,500 to $3,000.
Pick 100K if you need up to 8 contracts in the Evaluation; the target is $6,000 against $3,000 of drawdown ($1,500 EOD Daily Loss Limit), the PA starts at 3 contracts, qualifying days need $300 on EOD or $250 on Intraday, and caps run $2,000 to $4,000.
Pick 150K if you need up to 12 contracts in the Evaluation; the target is $9,000 against $4,000 of drawdown ($2,000 EOD Daily Loss Limit), the PA starts at 4 contracts, qualifying days need $350 on EOD or $300 on Intraday, and caps run $2,500 to $5,000.
Full summary
Apex Trader Funding's new products (accounts purchased after March 1, 2026) offer EOD and Intraday Trailing Evaluations in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K sizes. On the 50K EOD Evaluation the profit target is $3,000, Max Drawdown (EOD) is $2,000, Daily Loss Limit is $1,000, max contracts are 6 standard contracts or 60 micro contracts, Consistency is Not Applied on the Evaluation, and access is 30 calendar days, one-time fee, no resets. The matching Intraday Evaluation has the same $3,000 target and $2,000 max drawdown as Intraday Trailing, with No Daily Loss Limit on the Intraday Evaluation. After you pass, the Performance Account (Simulated Funded / Sim Funded) keeps the same $2,000 max drawdown on 50K, adds tier-based Daily Loss Limit and scaling (Level 1 starts at 2 contracts and $1,000 DLL; top level is 4 contracts and $3,000 DLL), applies 50% consistency for payouts, and pays a 100% payout split when eligible. On a 50K EOD PA you need 5 qualifying trading days with $250 minimum daily profit, Safety Net $52,100, minimum balance to request $52,600, minimum payout $500, and 6 payouts per Performance Account. You may hold up to 20 PAs across EOD and Intraday combined. Evaluation and PA activation dollar amounts change with promotions on the Apex site; the 50K EOD Trail figures from the homepage picker are under Fees, activation and inactivity.

Where these figures come from
Every dollar amount and label in this guide is copied from Apex Trader Funding help-center articles and the public homepage, re-checked on 15 October 2026 with a headless browser (all 16 pages returned HTTP 200; plain requests from our builder still hit Cloudflare HTTP 403). New-product rules apply to accounts purchased after March 1, 2026. We do not invent formulas or dollar fees the pages omit. Anything labelled "our arithmetic" or "our reading" is our own calculation from the official figures, not an Apex statement.
What this means for you: Every figure here traces to an Apex page re-checked on the date at the top of this page; anything marked "our arithmetic" is our own sum or ratio, not an Apex promise.
EOD Evaluation vs Intraday Evaluation
Both Evaluations share the same profit targets ($1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000), the same max drawdown dollar amounts ($1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,000), the same max contracts (4 / 6 / 8 / 12; 10 micro contracts equal 1 standard contract), 30 calendar days of access, Consistency Not Applied on the Evaluation, and no minimum trading days (you may pass in one day). The EOD path uses Max Drawdown (EOD) calculated at market close and enforced the next session, plus a fixed Daily Loss Limit during the Evaluation. The Intraday path uses Max Drawdown (Intraday Trailing) that follows Peak Balance in real time (including unrealized gains) and has No Daily Loss Limit on the Intraday Evaluation. On EOD drawdown trailing stops: Performance Accounts stop at Starting Balance + $100 ($50,100 on a 50K PA); Rithmic and Wealthcharts Evaluations stop at the profit-target balance ($53,000 on a 50K Evaluation); Tradovate Evaluations trail indefinitely. For Intraday PA, Apex states Trailing stops once Max Trailing Drawdown Amount + $100 is reached. The Intraday Trailing Drawdown Explained page likewise stops the Intraday PA threshold at Starting Balance + $100 ($50,100 on 50K), stops Rithmic and Wealthcharts Intraday Evaluations at the profit-target balance ($53,000 on 50K), and lets Tradovate Intraday Evaluations trail indefinitely. On both paths a touch of the threshold liquidates open positions and fails the Evaluation (on a PA it closes the account). The EOD threshold is recalculated once a day at 4:59:59 PM ET from the closing balance and enforced in real time during the next session; it rises only when a higher end-of-day balance is set and never moves down. Apex's own 50K EOD example: start $50,000, threshold $48,000; Day 1 close $50,800, threshold $48,800; Day 2 close $51,600, threshold $49,600; Day 3 close $50,900, threshold stays $49,600; Day 4 close $52,000, threshold $50,000. In our subtraction, Days 1 to 3 are a +$800 day, a +$800 day (+$1,600 over the two days) and a -$700 day. On a 50K PA the threshold stops at $50,100 once the highest end-of-day balance reaches $52,100. Apex's Intraday example: an open trade lifts the balance to a new peak of $50,900, so the threshold moves to $48,900 at once; if the balance then falls to $50,200 the threshold stays at $48,900. Liquidation fills at market price, so the final balance can land slightly above or below the threshold; it still counts as a breach.
What this means for you: Same target, drawdown and contracts on both. Choose EOD if you want a daily stop and a floor that only moves at the close; choose Intraday if you prefer no DLL during the Evaluation and accept a floor that chases open profit.
Performance Account (PA) overview
Passing an Evaluation lets you activate a Simulated Funded (Sim Funded) PA of the same size and type within 7 calendar days after the Evaluation is marked as Passed (after 6 PM ET). Approved payouts use a 100% payout split when eligibility requirements are met. You may hold up to 20 PAs across EOD and Intraday combined. PA Max Drawdown matches the Evaluation dollar amounts. Position size and Daily Loss Limit are tier-based on ending balance: Level 1 on 50K is 2 contracts and $1,000 DLL; the top scaling level on 50K is 4 contracts and $3,000 DLL. The PA overview pages list Max Contracts 2 / 4 / 6 / 10 by size as the top scaling maxima, not day-one limits. Our reading: on every size the PA starts below the Evaluation contract cap. Level 1 allows 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 contracts on 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K against Evaluation caps of 4 / 6 / 8 / 12, and the top PA level (2 / 4 / 6 / 10 contracts) never reaches the Evaluation cap on any size. A PA touch of the threshold closes it permanently; hitting the Daily Loss Limit liquidates positions and pauses trading for the rest of the session, the account remains active and the trading day resets at 6 PM ET.
What this means for you: Plan your PA trading around Level 1, not the Evaluation cap: 1, 2, 3 or 4 contracts on day one, growing only as your closing balance does.
PA scaling ladders by size (contracts and Daily Loss Limit)
From the Daily Loss Limit and Scaling Levels articles (profit above the starting balance, contracts, DLL). 25K: Level 1 ($0 – $999) 1 contract, $500 DLL; Level 2 ($1,000 – $1,999) 2 contracts, $500 DLL; Level 3 ($2,000 & Up) 2 contracts, $1,250 DLL. 50K: Level 1 ($0 – $1,499) 2 contracts, $1,000 DLL; Level 2 ($1,500 – $2,999) 3 contracts, $1,000 DLL; Level 3 ($3,000 – $5,999) 4 contracts, $2,000 DLL; Level 4 4 contracts, $3,000 DLL. The DLL page labels 50K Level 4 as "$6,000 & Up"; the Scaling Levels page labels it "$5,999 & Up". We publish both wordings as shown. 100K: Level 1 ($0 – $1,999) 3 contracts, $1,750 DLL; Level 2 ($2,000 – $2,999) 4 contracts, $1,750 DLL; Level 3 ($3,000 – $4,999) 5 contracts, $1,750 DLL; Level 4 ($5,000 – $9,999) 6 contracts, $2,500 DLL; Level 5 ($10,000 & Up) 6 contracts, $3,500 DLL. 150K: Level 1 ($0 – $1,999) 4 contracts, $2,500 DLL; Level 2 ($2,000 – $2,999) 5 contracts, $2,500 DLL; Level 3 ($3,000 – $4,999) 7 contracts, $2,500 DLL; Level 4 ($5,000 – $9,999) 10 contracts, $3,000 DLL; Level 5 ($10,000 & Up) 10 contracts, $4,000 DLL. Tier Levels update once per day from the prior session's closing balance (4:59:59 PM ET) and do not change intraday. If the balance falls below a tier, the account moves down a level for the next session, but never below Level 1. An order that would exceed your size is rejected, with no penalty. Ten (10) micro contracts equal one (1) standard contract.
What this means for you: Each size has its own ladder; a losing close can drop you a level for the next session, but never below Level 1.
Payouts on EOD vs Intraday Performance Accounts
Both paths require at least 5 qualifying trading days (not necessarily consecutive), a minimum payout of $500, 50% consistency, Safety Net equal to drawdown limit plus $100, and 6 payouts per Performance Account. The earliest a payout can be requested is after 5 qualifying trading days. On 50K EOD PA the minimum daily profit per qualifying day is $250, Safety Net is $52,100, and minimum balance to request is $52,600. On 50K Intraday PA the minimum daily profit is $200 with the same Safety Net and minimum balance to request. Maximum payout per request on 50K EOD PA by payout number 1–6: $1,500 / $1,500 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $2,500 / $3,000. On 50K Intraday PA: $1,500 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,000. Across sizes, EOD min daily profit is $100 / $250 / $300 / $350 and Intraday is $100 / $200 / $250 / $300. If balance falls below the required threshold after you submit a request, the payout pages say the request is denied automatically; you may continue trading and request again when eligible. Maximum payout per request by payout number 1–6, EOD PA: 25K $1,000 each; 100K $2,000 / $2,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $4,000 / $4,000; 150K $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 / $5,000. Intraday PA: 25K $1,000 each; 100K $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 / $4,000; 150K $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 / $4,000 / $5,000. Payout 1 is capped at $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 / $2,500 and payout 6 at $1,000 / $3,000 / $4,000 / $5,000 by size on both paths. After the sixth payout the PA is closed; another PA requires passing another Evaluation. Our reading: the Intraday cap is equal to or higher than the EOD cap at every payout number on every size.
What this means for you: You need 5 days that each clear the minimum, a balance above the Safety Net + $500, and a best day under 50% of profit; each request is capped by payout number.
Choosing a size: our arithmetic from the official figures
Our arithmetic: the max drawdown is two-thirds of the profit target on 25K and 50K ($1,000 against $1,500, $2,000 against $3,000), half on 100K ($3,000 against $6,000) and under half on 150K ($4,000 against $9,000), so bigger sizes give less loss room relative to the target. Our arithmetic: because each PA pays at most six capped payouts regardless of profit, one PA can pay out at most $6,000 / $13,000 / $18,000 / $20,500 on EOD and $6,000 / $14,500 / $18,500 / $21,500 on Intraday (25K / 50K / 100K / 150K, sum of the six caps). Qualifying days need $100 / $250 / $300 / $350 of net profit on EOD and $100 / $200 / $250 / $300 on Intraday. You may hold up to 20 PAs across EOD and Intraday combined.
What this means for you: On our arithmetic a bigger size gives more contracts and higher payout ceilings, but less drawdown relative to its target.
Fees, activation and inactivity
Homepage Product list prices for Rithmic EOD Trail Evaluations (one-time, before code SAVENOW), re-read 19 October 2026: 25K $490 with PA activation $109; 50K $590 with $129; 100K $1,190 with $139; 150K $2,190 with $159. Tradovate and WealthCharts show the same dollars on those sizes. New Evaluation plans are a one-time fee for 30 consecutive calendar days of access, weekends and holidays included (not a subscription; nothing to cancel). The Evaluation expires automatically at 6:00 PM ET on Day 30, with no extensions. The account size and type you pick at checkout cannot be changed afterwards, and the fee is not refundable. There are no reset fees; a failed or expired Evaluation requires purchasing a new one. Dollar Evaluation prices and PA activation fee amounts are not published as a fixed help-center size table and change with promotions. On 2026-10-18 the homepage product picker listed the 50K EOD Trail Evaluation at $590 one-time (list price; $59 with the coupon code shown on the page) and, under Performance Account, a One-Time Activation Fee of $129 one-time on that Standard plan. The same picker's "No Activation Fee" plan listed the 50K EOD Trail Evaluation at $1,190 one-time (list price; $119 with the coupon code) with the PA activation fee shown as FREE. Our arithmetic at list price: Standard costs $719 to reach the PA ($590 + $129) and No Activation Fee costs $1,190; with the coupon prices shown that day it flips ($59 + $129 = $188 vs $119). Confirm both on the Apex site at checkout, since these amounts change with promotions. After an Evaluation is marked as Passed (after 6 PM ET at the end of the trading session in which you reach the target; the trading day resets at 6 PM ET, so a target hit in the evening belongs to the next session) you have 7 calendar days to complete the one-time PA activation fee; passing on Day 30 still gives the full 7 days. PAs must record at least 2 trading days with $50 or more in net profit within every rolling 30-day period. After 15 days without them the PA turns dormant, with courtesy notices on day 15 and day 20; after 30 consecutive calendar days it is closed, payout eligibility is forfeited and it cannot be reinstated.
What this means for you: Budget the homepage list price for your size (25K $490, 50K $590, 100K $1,190, 150K $2,190 on Rithmic EOD Trail) plus the matching PA activation fee, activate within 7 days of passing, and log 2 days of $50+ profit every 30 days to keep a PA open.
New products vs legacy (brief)
Homepage copy separates legacy accounts from before March 1, 2026 and new accounts purchased after that date. New products use one-time fees with no recurring billing; legacy accounts remain on recurring billing until canceled and are described as not impacted by the new program rules. Legacy evaluations have returned for a limited time across 6 balance tiers and 3 platforms; this guide does not list legacy numeric parameters.
What this means for you: Everything on this page is for accounts bought after March 1, 2026; legacy accounts keep their own rules and recurring billing.
News trading around releases (CPI, FOMC, NFP)
Trading during news is allowed for your normal trading strategy, according to Apex's Prohibited Activities article (read on 18 October 2026). The limit is on how you trade the release: no strategies that chase the market or place orders on both sides to gamble on the outcome. The same article bans hedging of any kind (directional trading only), so you cannot hold long and short positions at the same time on the same or a correlated instrument, for example around a news-driven breakout. Older legacy articles for accounts bought before March 1, 2026 word this differently and are not used here.
What this means for you: You can trade CPI, FOMC or NFP with your usual strategy, in one direction only: no chasing the market, no orders on both sides, no long and short at once.
Bots, automation and trade copying
Bots and automated trading are not allowed on Apex. Its Prohibited Activities article (read on 18 October 2026) says: no automation or algorithm usage allowed, because rewards are meant for human traders, not automated systems executing preprogrammed logic. Under the same article, high-frequency trading (HFT) is also prohibited as manipulation of the simulated environment. On copy trading, the article says trade copying with other traders is strictly forbidden, as is sharing MAC addresses, computers, IPs or credit cards; violations can lead to account closure and forfeiture of funds. Copying between your own Apex accounts is not addressed in that article, and we found no separate trade copier article in Apex's help center; ask Apex support before you connect a copier.
What this means for you: Plan to trade Apex by hand: bots, algorithms and HFT are banned, and copying trades with other traders is forbidden; ask support before copying between your own accounts.
What the sources do not say
The help center still does not publish a frozen fee matrix as an article table; the dollars by size come from the homepage Product catalogue (for example 'Product 50k Rithmic EOD Trail: $590 one-time | PA activation fee $129'), re-read on 19 October 2026. Those are list prices before code SAVENOW. The No Activation Fee plan is a separate, higher one-time Evaluation price with free PA activation — confirm the picker at checkout. Instant PAs are described on the homepage as coming soon and are omitted. We do not invent an MAE or 5:1 risk-reward rule for new products (homepage marketing). If a 50K PA closes at exactly $5,999 of profit, assume the Level 3 $2,000 DLL still applies until a close of $6,000 or more (Apex's DLL page prints $6,000 and its Scaling page $5,999).
What this means for you: List prices and PA activation by size are on the homepage Product lines (before SAVENOW); the No Activation Fee plan is a higher one-time Evaluation with free activation — confirm at checkout.
FAQ
What are the Apex EOD Evaluation rules for the 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K accounts?
Apex EOD Evaluation profit targets are $1,500, $3,000, $6,000 and $9,000 on 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K, with Max Drawdown (EOD) of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,000, Daily Loss Limit of $500, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000, and max contracts of 4, 6, 8 and 12. Access is 30 calendar days on every size, Consistency is Not Applied on the Evaluation, and you may pass as soon as the profit target is reached.
Does the Apex Intraday Evaluation have a Daily Loss Limit?
No. The Intraday Trailing Drawdown Evaluation has No Daily Loss Limit on the Intraday Evaluation; risk is enforced through the real-time Intraday Trailing threshold. The EOD Evaluation does have a fixed Daily Loss Limit of $500, $1,000, $1,500 or $2,000 by size. Both paths use the same profit targets ($1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000) and the same max drawdown dollar amounts ($1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,000).
What are the Apex 50K EOD Performance Account payout requirements?
On a 50K EOD PA you need 5 qualifying trading days with $250 minimum daily profit (days need not be consecutive), Safety Net $52,100, minimum balance to request $52,600, minimum payout $500, 50% consistency, a 100% payout split when eligible, and 6 payouts per Performance Account. The earliest a payout can be requested is after 5 qualifying trading days.
How many contracts can I trade on day one of an Apex Performance Account?
Level 1 allows 1 contract on 25K, 2 on 50K, 3 on 100K and 4 on 150K, with Daily Loss Limits of $500, $1,000, $1,750 and $2,500. That is below the Evaluation caps of 4, 6, 8 and 12. Your level is set once a day from the prior session's close and does not change during the session; the top levels allow 2, 4, 6 and 10 contracts.
What does an Apex 50K EOD Evaluation cost before a promo code?
On the Apex homepage Product catalogue (Rithmic EOD Trail), the 50K Evaluation list price is $590 one-time and the Standard PA activation fee is $129 (re-checked 19 October 2026). Other sizes: 25K $490 + $109, 100K $1,190 + $139, 150K $2,190 + $159. Code SAVENOW changes the price shown at checkout.
