Which size fits your stop? The losing-trade ladder

Each ladder counts consecutive full-size losing trades from a fresh LucidPro Evaluation until the published Max Loss Limit (MLL) amount is used up, and marks where the Fixed Daily Loss Limit (DLL) would end your session if you bought DLL On. Your room is never more than the MLL amount, so this is the best case.

150K
With DLL On, the rungs after the DLL rung fall on later sessions; the end-of-day floor does not move down after a losing day, so the count to the MLL holds.

Bought DLL Off: the DLL rung disappears and the MLL ladder is unchanged. 25K has no DLL rung because its Evaluation table lists DLL None (the homepage card and Funded Account table show $600).

TOO TIGHT: each loser is more than a fifth of your room, so the MLL is used up by trade 5 at the latest. WORKABLE: between a fifth and a tenth. COMFORTABLE: a tenth or less, so the MLL is not used up before trade 10. OVER CONTRACT CAP: more contracts than the LucidPro Max Size on that size.
Educational, not advice. The ladder ignores commissions and slippage.

Lucid calls every DLL a soft breach: hitting it restricts new trades until the next session, provided the account has not been liquidated, and you do not lose the account while the MLL has not been reached. The MLL uses an End-of-Day Drawdown: it rises with your highest closing balance until the Initial Trail Balance, then locks. Lucid's drawdown article also says "If your account balance reached the MLL, your account will be breached", so confirm with Lucid how an open loss is treated during the session. Confirm every figure on Lucid Trading's own pages before buying.

The short answer
LucidPro Evaluation comes in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K with the same rule shape: an End-of-Day Max Loss Limit, no consistency rule on the Evaluation and a Daily Loss Limit you switch On or Off at purchase. Only the target, Max Loss Limit, DLL, Max Size, fees and payout caps change with size. After you pass, the LucidPro funded account adds a 40% Consistency Percentage, a Minimum Profit Goal and a buffer before each payout. The cards and calculator cover LucidPro; LucidFlex and LucidDaily differences are in the last table and the sections.
Key facts:
- 25K: $1,250 target, $1,000 Max Loss Limit (EOD), 2 mini or 20 micros, $108 One Time Fee (struck list price); Maximum First Payout $1,000, Maximum Payout 2+ $1,500. DLL: None in the Evaluation table, $600 on the Funded Account table and homepage card.
- 50K: $3,000 target, $2,000 Max Loss Limit, $1,200 DLL with DLL On, 4 mini or 40 micros, $172 One Time Fee (struck list price); Maximum First Payout $2,000, Maximum Payout 2+ $2,500.
- 100K: $6,000 target, $3,000 Max Loss Limit, $1,800 DLL with DLL On, 6 mini or 60 micros, $272 One Time Fee (struck list price); Maximum First Payout $2,500, Maximum Payout 2+ $3,000.
- 150K: $9,000 target, $4,500 Max Loss Limit, $2,700 DLL with DLL On, 10 mini or 100 micros, $365 One Time Fee (struck list price); Maximum First Payout $3,000, Maximum Payout 2+ $3,500.
- Every size: Account Activation Fee FREE, no consistency rule on the Evaluation, 40% Consistency Percentage on funded, Minimum Payout Request $500, 90% to the trader and 10% to Lucid Trading, max 5 funded accounts per household.
Watch out:
- DLL On or Off is chosen at purchase and cannot be changed for an active account. With DLL On, hitting it is a soft breach: no new trades until the next session; the account stays as long as the Max Loss Limit is not reached.
- 25K DLL: the Evaluation table and the Daily Loss Limit article say None, while the Funded Account table and the homepage card show $600. Check your dashboard after purchase.
- The Max Loss Limit rises with your highest closing balance until the Initial Trail Balance ($26,100 / $52,100 / $103,100 / $154,600), then locks at the initial balance plus $100.
- The funded benefits list says No simulated payout caps, but the Payouts article caps the Maximum First Payout and Maximum Payout 2+ by size. We print the Payouts article figures.
- On the 50K card the struck One Time Fee does not change with the DLL toggle; the coupon price and the Reset Fee do ($103.20 and $120 with DLL On, $150.50 and $150 with DLL Off). The DLL and On Demand Payouts toggles switch together.
Pick 25K if you trade up to 2 mini or 20 micros, want the smallest $1,250 target and $108 One Time Fee list price, and are fine with a $1,000 Max Loss Limit and a $1,000 Maximum First Payout.
Pick 50K if you need up to 4 mini or 40 micros for a $3,000 target against a $2,000 Max Loss Limit ($1,200 DLL with DLL On) at $172; Maximum First Payout $2,000, then $2,500.
Pick 100K if you need up to 6 mini or 60 micros; the $6,000 target sits against a $3,000 Max Loss Limit ($1,800 DLL with DLL On) at $272; Maximum First Payout $2,500, then $3,000.
Pick 150K if you need up to 10 mini or 100 micros; the $9,000 target sits against a $4,500 Max Loss Limit ($2,700 DLL with DLL On) at $365; Maximum First Payout $3,000, then $3,500.

Where these figures come from
Every dollar amount and label in this guide is copied from Lucid Trading's Intercom help center at support.lucidtrading.com (article HTML tables, fetched directly on 15 October 2026) and from the lucidtrading.com homepage and about-us page (read in a headless Chrome browser on 15 October 2026; plain HTTP requests from our builder hit Cloudflare HTTP 403). A second fetch on the evening of 15 October 2026 found every help article unchanged and the homepage PRO card figures identical. The homepage plan tabs (LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily, LucidDirect) are a single-page app; this guide lists the four PRO EVAL card figures only, not LucidFlex, LucidDaily or LucidDirect prices. A further read at 22:05 EEST on 15 October 2026, repeated at 22:14, switched each PRO card's Daily Loss Limit toggle and recorded both states. Where the help center and the homepage disagree we quote the help center and note the homepage value. We do not invent formulas, fees or minimum trading days the pages omit.
What this means for you: Every figure is from Lucid's own help center or homepage; when the two disagree we show both, so check the one that matches your checkout.
LucidPro Evaluation basics by account size
The LucidPro Evaluation Account article lists, by size, a Profit Target of $1,250 (25K), $3,000 (50K), $6,000 (100K, printed $6000 in the help table) and $9,000 (150K); a Max Loss Limit of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,500; a Daily Loss Limit of None, $1,200, $1,800 and $2,700; and a Max Size of 2 mini or 20 micros, 4 mini or 40 micros, 6 mini or 60 micros and 10 mini or 100 micros. The listed benefits are: One-time fee, no monthly rebilling, take as long as you need to pass; Pass the evaluation in one trading day; Real time activation, upgrade to funded account within 5-30 minutes of hitting profit target; No activation fees to upgrade to funded account. The about-us page describes LucidPro as a one-day pass with no consistency rules, and the LucidPro Consistency Percentage article says the 40% requirement applies only during the funded account stage, so we record no consistency rule on the Evaluation. The LucidPro Customization article offers one setting at purchase: Daily Loss Limit On (enforced on both evaluation and funded accounts, lower evaluation purchase price) or Daily Loss Limit Off (no Daily Loss Limit in either phase, higher evaluation purchase price); once selected it cannot be changed for an active account. On the homepage PRO EVAL cards the struck One Time Fee is $108, $172, $272 and $365 (on 50K the same with Daily Loss Limit On or Off); the Reset Fee is $75, $120, $190 and $255 with it On, and $150 on 50K with it Off. On the homepage card the Daily Loss Limit and On Demand Payouts toggles switch On and Off together; Account Activation Fee is FREE and Drawdown Type is EOD. With Daily Loss Limit On the 50K card shows $103.20 w/ coupon at checkout (banner code VAULT); with it Off it shows $150.50. Promotional prices change and are not in the table.
What this means for you: Pick a size by target, Max Loss Limit and Max Size first; decide DLL On or Off at purchase, because it changes the price and cannot be switched later.
Daily Loss Limit: the one figure Lucid's own pages disagree on
For 25K the LucidPro Evaluation Account table and the LucidPro Daily Loss Limit table both say None, while the LucidPro Funded Account table lists a Fixed DLL (optional) of $600 and the homepage 25K PRO card shows DLL $600. We publish all three as shown. For 50K, 100K and 150K every source agrees on $1,200, $1,800 and $2,700. The Daily Loss Limit article says all DLLs at Lucid Trading are considered soft breaches, meaning you do not lose your account for hitting DLL as long as the Max Loss Limit has not been reached; if you reach the DLL you will be restricted from placing additional trades until the next trading session, provided your account has not been liquidated. LucidPro Evaluation accounts use a Fixed DLL that does not change over time; LucidPro Funded accounts begin with the same Fixed DLL values as long as the balance remains below the Initial Trail Balance.
What this means for you: On 50K, 100K and 150K the DLL ends your session but not your account; on 25K, confirm in your dashboard whether a $600 DLL applies.
LucidPro funded account: Max Loss Limit, LucidScale DLL and the 40% consistency rule
The LucidPro Drawdown article says evaluation and funded accounts use an End-of-Day Drawdown (EOD Drawdown) system to calculate the Max Loss Limit (MLL). The MLL amount is $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,500; it rises until the account reaches the Initial Trail Balance of $26,100, $52,100, $103,100 and $154,600, then locks at the Locked MLL Balance of $25,100, $50,100, $100,100 and $150,100 (the initial balance plus $100). Once the account closes above the Initial Trail Balance, the Fixed DLL is replaced by the LucidScale DLL: Highest end-of-day account profit × 60% = LucidScale DLL (the funded table words it as 60% of Peak EOD Balance); the article's example is $4,000 × 0.60 = $2,400. The funded benefits list says: No scaling plan, access to max contract size immediately; and No simulated payout caps. The consistency rule on funded accounts is a Consistency Percentage of 40%: Largest Single Day Profit / Account Profit = Consistency Percentage, which resets and must be met again after each payout. The article's example is $1,000 / $4,000 = 25% on a $50k account. Lucid adjusted this from 35% to 40% for accounts purchased or reset on or after 11/28/2025 at 3:00 PM ET; accounts purchased or reset on or before that still have 35% consistency. Once promoted to Live account status the consistency requirement no longer applies.
What this means for you: The floor stops trailing once you close above the Initial Trail Balance; from then the DLL grows with your best end-of-day profit, and 40% consistency applies to every payout.
LucidPro payouts
All funded account payouts are split 90% to the trader and 10% to Lucid Trading; accounts purchased or reset before 11/28/2025 at 3:00 PM ET are still eligible for 100% on the first $10k. Three criteria must all be met and reset after every approved payout: the Minimum Profit Goal ($250, $500, $750 and $1,000 by size); the 40% Consistency Percentage (your largest single-day profit must be no more than 40% of your total profit during the payout cycle); and profits above the Required Buffer Balance, which equals Initial Max Loss Limit + $100 ($26,100, $52,100, $103,100 and $154,600). The Minimum Payout Request is $500 and the Minimum Balance for $500 Payout is $26,600, $52,600, $103,600 and $155,100. For Payout 1 the Maximum First Payout is $1,000, $2,000, $2,500 and $3,000, with a Minimum Balance for Maximum Payout of $27,100, $54,100, $105,600 and $157,600. For Payouts 2+ the Maximum Payout 2+ is $1,500, $2,500, $3,000 and $3,500, with a Minimum Balance for Maximum Payout of $27,600, $54,600, $106,100 and $158,100. There is no fixed payout window, you may request a payout any day after meeting all eligibility criteria; once approved, funds are deducted within a few minutes and payouts are disbursed to your payment method within 2 business days. Payout requests are final once submitted. If you trade after submitting and your balance drops into the buffer, the request may be denied. The homepage LucidPro tab says 3 days to payout and the about-us page says Get paid on Day 3 with LucidPro; the LucidPro Payouts article does not state a minimum number of trading days, so we record those as marketing lines rather than a rule.
What this means for you: Each payout needs the Minimum Profit Goal, 40% consistency and a balance above the buffer; the first payout is capped lower than later ones.
LucidFlex in brief
LucidFlex Evaluation accounts use the same Profit Target, Max Loss Limit and Max Size as LucidPro and add a Consistency % of 50% on every size (Largest Single Day Profit / Account Profit, must be 50% or less to upgrade). The LucidFlex Evaluation article lists Optional DLL available at checkout among its benefits, while the same article's description and the about-us page say no daily loss limit with LucidFlex, so check the option at checkout; and the LucidFlex Drawdown article uses the same End-of-Day Drawdown table (Initial Trail Balance $52,100 and Locked MLL Balance $50,100 on 50K). The consistency rule has a cushion built in so traders can pass in two days; Lucid's example table shows 50% of the 50K target as $1,500 with a cushion of $1,560.00, and the article stresses this is merely an example and not a fixed dollar amount. LucidFlex funded accounts have an optional Daily Loss Limit (chosen at evaluation purchase), no Consistency Percentage, no payout buffer, a 90/10 profit split and EOD trailing drawdown; the funded table shows Scaling Plan Yes, but the fetched article does not describe the scaling plan, so we do not. Payout eligibility is two requirements: the Minimum Daily Profit ($100, $150, $200 and $250) on 5 separate days during the payout cycle, and positive net profit (even just $1) in the cycle. Minimum payout request: $500. Maximum payout request: 50% of the account balance up to a maximum that depends on size, shown in the Payout Maximum table as 50% of Profit up to $1,000, $2,000, $2,500 and $3,000; unlike Lucid's other funded accounts, the maximums do not scale up with more payouts. Traders may take up to 5 payouts from each LucidFlex account after which they will be moved live. There is no fixed payout window and payouts are disbursed within 2 business days.
What this means for you: LucidFlex trades the funded consistency rule and buffer for 5 profitable days per cycle and a 50%-of-profit payout cap, with up to 5 payouts before going live.
LucidDaily in brief
LucidDaily Evaluation accounts use the same Profit Target, Max Loss Limit and Max Size as LucidPro, a Consistency % of 50% with the same cushion wording as LucidFlex, and a customizable drawdown type chosen at checkout: Intraday for a lower evaluation price or End-of-day for more flexibility. The Daily Loss Limit is also a checkout option: either a Fixed DLL Amount of $600, $1,200, $1,800 and $2,700 on both the evaluation and funded phases, or none in either phase; the DLL remains fixed through the session and does not trail upward with the MLL. LucidDaily funded accounts always use an Intraday drawdown, allow daily payout requests, have no Consistency Percentage and pay 90% to the trader and 10% to Lucid Trading. Payout eligibility is profits above the Buffer Balance (Initial Max Loss Limit + $100: $26,100, $52,100, $103,100 and $154,600) and positive net profit since the last payout. The minimum payout request per account is $500 and the payout maximum is the amount of sim profits built above the buffer. LucidDaily does not follow a per-request cap; instead there is a Maximum Daily Profit of $6,000, $8,000, $10,000 and $12,000, and if you meet or exceed it you are automatically moved live. The LucidDaily Funded Account article adds that trading U.S. high impact red folder news (Impact = High, Currency = USD) is not permitted and is a hard breach: you must be flat from 1 minute before through 1 minute after the news event.
What this means for you: LucidDaily lets you request payouts daily from profit above the buffer, but its funded drawdown is always Intraday and red-folder USD news is a hard breach.
Our arithmetic across LucidPro sizes
These are TradeDesk HQ divisions and subtractions of Lucid's published dollars, not Lucid claims. Max Loss Limit as a share of the profit target: 80% on 25K ($1,000 of $1,250), two-thirds on 50K ($2,000 of $3,000) and half on 100K ($3,000 of $6,000) and 150K ($4,500 of $9,000). The Fixed DLL with Daily Loss Limit On is 60% of the Max Loss Limit on 50K ($1,200 of $2,000), 100K ($1,800 of $3,000) and 150K ($2,700 of $4,500); the 25K Funded Account table's $600 is also 60% of $1,000. On a fresh account the End-of-Day floor does not move down after a losing day, so one full-DLL day leaves $800, $1,200 and $1,800 of Max Loss Limit room on 50K, 100K and 150K. To withdraw the Maximum First Payout the balance must reach the Minimum Balance for Maximum Payout ($27,100, $54,100, $105,600 and $157,600), which is $2,100, $4,100, $5,600 and $7,600 above the starting balance. On every size and both payout tables, the Minimum Balance for Maximum Payout equals the Required Buffer Balance plus the maximum payout (for example $52,100 + $2,000 = $54,100 on 50K), and the Minimum Balance for $500 Payout equals the buffer plus $500, so the whole payout has to sit above the buffer. The Maximum Payout 2+ is $500 above the Maximum First Payout on every size. The ladder calculator on this page counts consecutive full-size losing trades against the Max Loss Limit; its TOO TIGHT, WORKABLE and COMFORTABLE tags are our rule of thumb, and its point values ($2 MNQ, $5 MES, $20 NQ, $50 ES) are CME contract specs, not Lucid figures.
What this means for you: Use the ratios to compare how much loss room each size gives per dollar of target; they are our divisions, not a Lucid claim.
News trading by plan
Lucid's Other Trading Activities article (read on 18 October 2026) says news trading is allowed on Flex, Pro and Direct: traders may enter or exit positions around scheduled or unscheduled news events on these plans without it being a breach. It is not allowed on LucidDaily, where trading red folder news is a hard breach (see LucidDaily in brief). Lucid warns that news can bring slippage and velocity logic triggers, and traders assume full responsibility for outcomes during news events.
What this means for you: News is fine on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect; if you want to trade red folder USD releases, don't pick LucidDaily.
Bots and trade copiers
Lucid's Other Trading Activities article (read on 18 October 2026) says automated trading systems and trade copiers are permitted, as long as all automated activity complies with Lucid Trading rules; you are fully responsible for any software errors, malfunctions, or unintended outcomes.
What this means for you: Bots and trade copiers are fine on Lucid; if the software misfires, the result still counts against your account.
Account limits and what this guide leaves out
The homepage FAQ says Lucid allows a max of 5 funded accounts per household and that all accounts are a one-time fee with no monthly subscriptions. LucidDirect (Lucid's straight-to-funded S2F plan), LucidMaxx, LucidBlack (Legacy), LucidPro Live (Legacy) and the Live Trading program have their own help collections and are not covered here; we did not read their rule tables, so none of their figures appear in this guide. Lucid's homepage promo code lives on our Lucid Trading firm page and is not part of this rules table. Marketing lines such as probably the #1 futures prop firm are not repeated as rules.
What this means for you: Plan for at most 5 funded accounts per household, and read LucidDirect or legacy rules on Lucid's site; we did not cover them.
